Wedding cake box

Hello everybody :)

I had to make a very special wedding card. And this is what turned out. I saw this typ of card many times and never tried it bevor. This shaker extra idea I´ve got from Sandra on Facebook.

This box card thing is really easy to make, so I decided to make a little instruction. I just want to mention that I´m not that kind of person who measure everything out bevor I start to craft. So I won't be able to give you alle the measurements.

Cake:
3 circles: small, medium, large
3 stripes: width of 2cm and they have to be scored at 1,5cm (this will be later the high of each cake piece). At the shorter side (0,5cm) you cut little teeth in, so you can glue it on the circles. Normally the paper would build creases, because we want to glue it in a circle shape. If you pass the paper over something round edged, it will help to build the circle shape and also won't crease the paper. Now you can glue the stripes one the circles. I didn't measure hol long the stripes have to be, I only cut it down. When all 3 cake parts are glued together I glue them one on top of the other and taking care that while glueing the parts with the stripe edges are in one line. Over that part I made my flowers and  embellishments so nobody would notice.

Box:
Paper: 21x21cm, scored at 6,5cm und 14,5cm and you turn it 90° and do the same or you score at 6,5cm at alle 4 sides.
Now you have 9 squares. You cut away the four squares in the corners and you´ll get at the and a + shape. I rounded my edges just because I find it easier to put the box in the cover.

Deckel der Box:
Paper: 11,2cm x11,2cm and score at 1,5cm and 9,7cm, turn it 90° and do the same or score at 1,5cm at all four sides. Know you have to cut until the score line in the middle, but only from two sides in the opposite (I hope you know what I mean?)

I hope you enjoyed this card and this little instruction and we will catch us the next time :)
